The journey just seems too long for this little zebra!
Gus is very cross when Mum and Dad tell him they have to go on a long journey away from the dusty plains where he likes to play, and he kicks up a really big fuss. The longer the journey goes on, the worse Gus gets!
But, after travelling a long time and playing all the travelling games his family can devise for him, he sees in the distance where it is they are going – the waterhole! It's a whole new place to play with exciting opportunities Gus didn't have before, and he realises that the journey could well be worthwhile!
